About the developer

Marko Krulc · independent, one person

Rev Rush is made by one person. Design, code, pixel art, music and this website — there is no team behind the name, and no publisher.

How the game is built

Rev Rush is written in Swift with SpriteKit, and it has almost no image files. Every rider, obstacle, coin and cloud is a character map in the source code, drawn pixel by pixel from a shared palette at runtime — which is why 21 worlds fit in an app that downloads in seconds and plays fully offline.

This website is built from that same source. The bike you scroll past on the front page is not a drawing of the game: an exporter reads the game’s own character maps, palette, colour scale and sound files, and the page runs the same drawing algorithm in the browser. When the bike changes in the game, it changes here.

Why there are no ads

A one-tap runner is a game of reflexes, and an ad break in the middle of a run breaks the one thing it is made of. Rev Rush is free, has no advertising of any kind, and is funded by a single optional Premium unlock.

Premium gives you things sooner, never more: a paying rider carries exactly one shield and one life, the same as everyone else, so the leaderboard keeps comparing rides and not receipts.
